Ellis Hollow Pool

The Ellis Hollow community swimming pool typically operates from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. It is located right next to the Community Center on Genung Rd.

An annual membership is required to use the pool (valid for one pool season). Memberships are available to non-residents at the same annual rate as they are to residents. Swimming lessons are held on weekday mornings and are open to pool members and non-members.

The pool is open for general swimming afternoons and evenings.

The pool is available for party rental during off hours: 2 hours before opening or 2 hours after closing - if you wish to reserve a private rental, please email pool@ellishollowcc.org.

Pool Hours for the 2026 Season: 

May 29th through June 26th:

Thursdays & Fridays: 4pm to 8pm. 

Saturdays and Sundays: 12pm to 8pm.

 

June 27th through Labor Day weekend

Monday through Friday: 12pm to 8pm (open till 10pm on Thursdays). Lap swim only from 11am to noon. 

Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8pm. No lap swim.

2026 Swim Lessons:

​Swim lessons for the 2026 season are now available for $50 per child per week.

Weeks:

  • 6/29 - 7/2

  • 7/6 - 7/9

  • 7/13 - 7/16

  • 7/20 - 7/23

  • 7/27 - 7/30

  • 8/3 - 8/6

Sessions:

  • Advanced - 9:15am - 9:45am

    • Participant should be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards on front and back with a swimming stroke such as front crawl or backstroke. The ability to jump/dive into deep water. The swimmer should have some experience swimming the breaststroke, backstroke, front crawl and fly.

  • Intermediate - 9:45am - 10:15am

    • Able to submerge completely underwater. Able to float on front & back unassisted. The child is able to swim 10-15 yards without assistance. Participant can jump into deep water with confidence and return to the side of the pool. Has some knowledge & experience with rhythmic breathing and front crawl.

  • Beginner - 10:30am - 11:00am

    • little or no previous swimming experience. Skills taught at this level are: water adjustment & confidence building activities, bubble-blowing and rhythmic breathing, front and back floats, glides, bobs and paddle strokes.

Pool Policies

Weather: The Ellis Hollow Community Center reserves the right to close the pool on days with an expected high at or below 60° F. In the event of audible thunder, water access closes for 30 minutes following the most recent thunderclap.

Membership refunds: We understand that summer plans are fluid! Prior to the pool opening, memberships can be fully refunded (minus processing fees). No refunds or changes to memberships will be issued after the pool opens, except in rare cases, such as extended pool closures. All refunds after pool season opening must be approved by the EHCC Board of Directors. 

Refunds/changes to swim bookings: No refunds will be issued for swim bookings as of 1 week prior to commencing the first lesson of the season. Changes to bookings (e.g. switching sessions) can occur at the discretion of the Head Guard, as long as maximum participants are not exceeded in a given group. 

Guest passes: can be purchased via check or paypal, cash or check at the guard station. $7 per individual, $20 per family. Members must be present with guests.

Memberships:  may not be shared with others outside your household, other than shared custody of children. Memberships are only valid for the season in which they were purchased. 

Prorated Membership: We do not offer prorated memberships to people who only want access to the pool for part of the summer.

The Ellis Hollow Pool is an L-shaped pool built in 1972, financed with money from the long range development funds, loans secured by community property, and capital contributions from individual residents. Seventy-one families donated $19,650 to make a long time dream a reality.
